Long before Showmars became a household name for fresh, delicious food, its founder, George Couchell—better known as Mr. C—was already making culinary history. Back in the day, Mr. C didn’t just serve up classic Southern hospitality—he had his hands on a piece of fried chicken folklore.
Legend has it that before Colonel Sanders became the Colonel, he was still just a guy with a dream and… no pressure cooker. Who had one? Mr. C. That’s right—before the Colonel started frying up his famous chicken, Mr. C had already been serving up golden, crispy goodness at his first restaurant, Mr. C’s.
And while the Colonel may have gone on to build a chicken empire, Mr. C took a different route—one that led to the creation of Showmars in 1982, a restaurant known for its fresh, flavorful Mediterranean and Southern-inspired dishes.
Now, we’re paying homage to the original chicken king with a design that flips the script. Inspired by the iconic KFC logo, this exclusive tee swaps out Colonel Sanders for the real OG: Mr. C himself—and instead of KFC, we’re repping MRC, because if you know him, you know everyone calls him Mr. C!
